The Bzzzht Stick (+5)

One night several years ago my gaming group and I were faced with the task of sneaking into a Kobold encampment and quietly eliminating their chieftan. For most parties this should be relatively simple; that is until you factor in a few characters that possess the same stealth abilities as a Veerbeeg Giant.

Needless to say, it didn't take very long before we were spotted and confronted by (thanks to a Hornung's guess spell) about 250 Kobold warriors. A few of these pesky rodent-types are not a threat; an army of them can be a different story.

In this situation many parties would surrender, or better yet go down swinging; fortunately our Wild Mage was pretty good at thinking on his feet, and he pulled out a wand we had found earlier, but had not had a chance to identify yet. We all thought he was crazy, but when he pointed that otherwise useless stick at the Kobold chief and yelled "BZZZHT" at the top of his lungs, the army's morale disappeared, and they scattered into the hills.

Thus was born the Bzzzht Stick (+5).
