The
Halfling Pantheon
These special powers are
usable by any character unless a special class restriction or other limiting
factor is noted. All Holy waters do 2d4 damage to Undead, and Unholy waters heal
2d4 points of damage when used on an Undead creature, unless stated otherwise in
the description. No holy water is barred from anyone, but a priest would have
severe reservations about using the waters of a radically opposed
faith.
- Arvoreen
- This potent Holy water will keep the drinker awake and
alert for twelve hours after consumption. When the effect wears off, the user
is no worse for the extra time without sleep, but will feel tired a few hours
later, and will want to sleep normally. While the extra vigilance can be nice,
it has thrown a kink into the schedule of more than once adventuring party.
Usable by any Halfling.
- Brandobaris
- This Holy water grants improved stealth. A rogue gains
+10% to Hide in Shadows and Move Silently chances for the next 1d4 turns; if
these abilities are not possessed, the rogue gains a 10% chance. Anyone else
with a move silently ability (clrass related or otherwise) gains a +5% to that
chance for the next 1d3 turns. Usable by any Rogue, or anyone else with a Move
Silently ability.
- Cyrollalee
- Holy water of The Hearthkeeper is often used to insure
good behavior when it is most essential (during trade talks, for example). The
water insures that the imbiber will keep his/her cool despite pressure of
virtually any kind. In game terms, the drinker gains a +4 to reaction rolls,
and will always treat anyone he meets as a possible friend until that being
proves otherwise. Usable by anyone.
- Sheela Peryroyl
- Similar to a Philter of Love (DMG), but this Holy
water has a few important differences: The user is fully aware of the effects,
and it will have no effect at all if the recipient is unwilling. Lastly, the
water may be consumed by anyone, but he or she will fall in love with the next
Halfling seen, not just anyone will suffice....
- Tymora
- Anyone quaffing this Holy water will have a stroke of
good luck. This means that the next dice roll the character makes will gain a
bonus of 1 point or by 10%, whichever is aplicable. Usable by anyone.
- Urogalan
- If poured over a body, this Holy water will prevent it
from rising as an undead creature of any sort, unless more powerful magics
demand otherwise. In this case, "more powerful magics" are any spells of 5th
level or higher. Usable by anyone.
- Yondalla
- Any Halfling consuming this Holy water gains a +2 to
Wisdom and Intelligence checks for the next 24 hours. Any non-Halfling who
drinks it gains "only" a +1 for 12 hours. Usable by anyone.
